Introduction

The Mbuko ethnic group is located in the northern region of Cameroon, specifically in the Diamaré division, in the Meri sub-division to the east of Meri, on the Mbuko massif and the Mayo-Raneo plain.

The Mbuko language is classified in the Biu-Mandara langauge family under the Chadik branch of languages. Alternate names for Mbuko include Mbokou, Mboku, and Mbuku.

This Mbuko-French dictionary is the product of the work of the Mbuko community with the help of the language team and Richard and Sue Gravina over several years.

The Mbuko dictionary is under development, and we welcome any comments or additions. Please leave us a message on the Contact Us page.
