Entries explained

 

The Ntcham dictionary entries consist of a headword followed by the pronunciation in brackets. Then, the abbreviation for the grammatical category is given in italics. This is followed by a definition in French, then in English. Other related words may be listed after the definitions.

In the following examples, the noun class number is shown with the grammatical category n cl.

The last example above shows two related definitions that are numbered. The first definition includes a synonym (syn).
