Entries explained

The Semai dictionary entries consist of a headword bolded in green. This may be followed by an audio icon. A corresponding word in another language (eg. BM for Malay and BI for English) may be given in parentheses. Then the definition in Malay is italicized in black, then shown in blue for English. Example sentences are given in green, with translations in black for Malay and blue for English.

Homophones are indicated by subscripts. In the following entries, the first word is a verb and the second is a noun.
