Introduction

The Sos Kundi language is spoken by approximately 3,500 people who live in the East Sepik Province of Papua New Guinea.

This dictionary has been compiled over a period of ten years by Correna Janzen and Elvira Corbalan, language development staff affiliated with SIL International, with the participation of many members of the Sos Kundi language community.

We are very much aware of the limitations of this first draft and welcome feedback and corrections. It is our intention to continue working on this dictionary—especially to make corrections where needed.

Our hope and prayer is that this dictionary will be an important step toward long-term Sos Kundi language and culture preservation.
