The Komo Alphabet

The entries are written in the Komo orthography developed along with community members in the Benishangul-Gumuz region in 2011. Tone is not represented in the orthography with one exception− rising and falling contour tones are represented as a sequence of identical vowels. The orthographic symbols and the corresponding phonemes in the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) are found below in alphabetical order.
