exegesisThis is a method of doing in-depth study of the Word of God, with the purpose of learning and giving explanation and understanding to others; one looks at word meanings, grammar, culture, context and tradition of the text. An example of exegetical teaching/preaching is to go through a complete book of the Bible in a series of studies/sermons.
