wedding / espousals A special marriage ceremony where a man and woman make vows to each other in front of witnesses; the officiant then declares them to be husband and wife; the process where two become one. DTP The disciples of Christ (I.E. the church) is Christ's bride; one day there will be a great supper in heaven, known as the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. (See parable of the wedding Matt 22:3-12.
