poorA person who has very little money or possessions. They live below the average standard of the general public, often being without a job. In severe cases, they may struggle to find food and clothing or even a place to sleep. DTP Disciples of Christ and the church are to have concern for the poor, and to help them where they can. It is also part of the ministry of the deacon to help the poor, the sick and the widows of our communities.
