Another example of a pledge is the wedding ring, representing the earthly bond that a couple has until death parts them. DTP The Old Testament gives many guidelines concerning how people are to make pledges one to another. In the New Testament Christ gives disciples the Holy Spirit as a pledge of the promise He has made to us.
