-an, -enindicates the action of the affixed root word is to completely affect the patient/undergoer/object, as opposed to the "-an" suffix, which the action will only move toward or impact on the surface only of the patient/undergoer/object.Tebangan ku i Dyusin tebangen sakit i Mersi.I will help/assist Jusin to help/cure the illness of Mersi.In general, it seems that with -en verbs the patient/undergoer/object is "totally affected" by the action, and with -an verbs, it is "partially affected" or else the action goes up to it (direction, location) or only touches the surface, etc. That seems true in Palawan, Tagalog and actually more Austronesian languages with som reflex of -AN.; As far as "tabang/help" in SWP, "tebanAn" means "to give help to x" or "to help somone do something". "TebangEn" means to help/fix/cure a problem or sickness. So I help you build your house (tebangAn) and you are not personally directly or totally affected.... the work/help is actually being done on the building. But the shaman will try to cure your sickness (tebangEn) where the sickness is the object being affected by the action... a more toal affect since it will be eliminated or cured or no longer exist.
