'ik'ikna goatfishThere are numerous species of goatfish: dash-and-dot Parupeneus barberinus (Lacepede); half-and-half Parupeneus barberinoides; Indian Parupeneus indicus (Shaw); three-saddled Parupeneus trifasciatus (Lacepede); two-saddled or two-barred Parupeneus bifasciatus; red-spot Parupeneus pleurospilos (Beeker). Goatfish are caught with fishnets pūkut 1, hook-and-line and in fish traps tambākan, tabūnan.
