Then the kernals are removed (dugdug), then it is boiled (batug) for several minutes until the kernals burst open (busingit).Then either salt or sugar is added to the kernels. Then the kernals are pounded (lebken) to become a powder. The latter is provided some moisture by being soaked (emeg̱en) in coconut-mlk (gata), then rolled up in a banana leaf. Two rolls are tied together before they are placed on the coals of a fire to cook. They are considered to be a delicacy.
