Introduction

The Komo language is spoken by 5000 people living in the lowlands of Western Ethiopia, in the Benishangul-Gumuz and Gambela regional states.

This dictionary is a product of a three-week long Rapid Word Collection Workshop held in Asosa, Ethiopia in 2015. Nineteen Komo participants from the Benishangul-Gumuz and Gambella regions of Ethiopia took part in the workshop. As the Komo language is now being taught in schools in Ethiopia, this dictionary will hopefully serve as a tool for Komo students as well as for those aspiring to learn Komo.

A first book edition of the dictionary has been printed in 2015.
