Alphabet

 

The following is the Saxwe alphabet as represented in some of the literacy materials. There is discussion as to whether digraphs should be listed among the letters of the alphabet.

In addition to these sounds, there are five consonant digraphs written as gb, hw, kp, ny, and xw, as well as five nasalized vowel digraphs written as an, ɛn, in, ɔn, and un. In this dictionary, digraphs are not sorted differently from any other sequences of letters.
