An entry in Yao'an Loxrlavu consists of a headword followed by the pronunciation in brackets. The abbreviation for the part of speech is given next, followed by the meaning in Chinese. The definitions in English are given next separated by semi-colons. These may be followed by an example sentence in Latin script, along with the translations into Chinese and into English.

paxr2 [pʰa̠ʔ²¹] v 动 cultivate; plant zhòng 种 Nia mi hormolsael ardoxr paxr dae seir? About how many fields have you planted? 你们还种了多少地? This is only used in the sense of planting a field. If a person is talking about planting some individual plant--"I am going to plant flowers in my back yard."--then /dae/ 'pland 种' is used. paxr2
