Introduction

The total number of Urat speakers is 7000, 2500 of whom speak the Yehre dialect. This dictionary is based on the Yehre (Urat 2) dialect. It represents Musungwik, Tumam and, to a smaller degree, Musiloh villages. The dictionary is a by-product of translation work, and it is by no means exhaustive.

The Urat language group is located in Dreikikir district, East Sepik Province, Papua New Guinea. See the map here.
